What is Derby Shoe? A lace-up dress shoe with open lacing, slightly less formal than an oxford and easier to fit on wider feet.
Derby shoes (also called Bluchers in America) are lace-up shoes with open lacing — the eyelet tabs are sewn on top of the vamp. Less formal than oxfords. Better suited to wider feet because of the adjustable lacing. Pair with suits, sport coats, and dress chinos. The Trickers Stow is a classic example.
