Twill is a weave structure in which weft threads cross over multiple warp threads, creating diagonal ribs in the fabric. Twill weaves are durable, drape well, and resist wrinkles. Common twill fabrics: denim, chino cotton, gabardine (used in trench coats and trousers), herringbone (a twill variant), and many wool suit fabrics.
